Live.me Review

Live broadcasting has recently become extremely popular.  An audience can directly interact with the person streaming the broadcast via comments.   I heard a lot about broadcasting but I always thought it was a sexual internet trend that I definitely did not want to be apart of.  I saw an ad on Facebook advertising that you could make real money using the app Live.me that it was a place where you talked to an audience and it wasn't intended to be sexual in any way..  I decided it was worth a shot especially since it was the beginning of August and I had nothing better to do.

The way broadcasting works with Live.me is you broadcast and if your audience members like what you're doing or enjoy your broadcast they can send you likes and gifts. Gifts are converted into diamonds which can be exchanged for real money.  Coins are the currency used to purchase gifts.  Coins can cost real money or you can exchange diamonds for coins.  The minimum amount you can cash out is $200 or approximately 40k diamonds.  The more your audience sends gifts, comments, likes or shares, it helps increase your rank on the feature board causing more people to watch your broadcast.  You can also offer coindrops to gain more viewers. A coindrop is where you pay 600 coins to drop a chest that will distribute them to the first 10 people that click snatch. Overall it is a system that requires a decent sized audience in order to make money.

My user name was SmileitsKristina and I used a snapchat filtered photo.  At first there wasn't a large audience like some of the bigger broadcasters but I'd interact with 30 to 40 people each time I would broadcast the first couple of days.  After I watch a couple of broadcasts and earned coins, I spammed some gifts to bigger broadcasters and received my first follows. Then randomly I started to get a large amount of followers and gifts sent to me. I started to broadcast 3 times a day for at least 30 minutes and a maximum of 8 hours.  I invested a lot of free time and after the first month of broadcasting I earned enough diamonds to cash out $200 dollars (it takes about a month before you receive any money).

After cashing out, I started to get less comments, gifts, and views.  During this time bigger broadcasters (Youtubers) started to get more publicity from Live.me which decreased everyone's view and made it nearly impossible to get on the feature board.  I also stopped having as much time to invest each day.

Overall, the only problem I had was the massive amounts of sexual comments.  Even when I blocked those people they could still sent me harassing direct messages.  All the other people on Live.me were wonderful and super fun to talk to.  I highly recommend using this app if you like meeting all sorts of new people.  My last word of advice is to be yourself because you're unique and the world may like to experience something different.  Have Fun!!!!!!

I hope you enjoyed my review, if there is another app you'd like me to try out let me know!  Thanks :)

  2. Thanks. I just got it today at around 5 am and broadcast about 45 minutes from work and had 98 viewers and a few gifts and shares. Any ideas of good ways to get people to give gifts and to get more followers?
